Overview

The Sensory Collective is an organization that provides entertainment for live events, including dancers, acrobats, and music. They expressed an interest in evoking a carnival vibe for their logotype, something like a traveling circus.

The client provided a few examples of fonts (below), and plenty of notes! I worked alongside the client and their marketing team to draft concepts and build upon their ideas. Many of their submissions included fonts with plenty of character. They truly wanted something bold!

We agreed the shape of the "S" would be essential, and I suggested a stylized "S" that resembles a music note, complimenting the entertainment aspect of their business.

The team loved the idea! Now to the next phase!

After experimenting with different shapes and elements of the font, the team decided to warp the logo to give it some motion, gluing everything together nicely.

The client was extremely satisfied with the result, and the logo helped to solidify the brand in print and media.

This logo design project helped to strengthen skills beneficial when working as a team, with various stages of development. Although the client was happy with the delivered result, if given more time, we could have achieved a better implementation for the word "the" in the logo, possibly removing it entirely.
